The product

Is this proper RAMS or some watered-down version?

Proper RAMS. The output is a site-specific Risk Assessment and Method Statement signed by your firm, branded with your logo, suitable to send to a Principal Contractor. The library covers the trades small UK firms actually do — bricklaying, groundworks, scaffolding, demolition, M&E, refurb, joinery, roofing. Every category we cover is written to the standard PCs expect. We don't pretend to be a 40-category enterprise template library; we cover what the small-firm market actually issues RAMS for.

Will it work on a site with no signal?

Yes. Sign-ins, tick lists, accident reports and toolbox talks all save locally on the device and sync when you're back in signal. Generating a PDF needs a connection (it renders server-side), but you can prep the content offline and hit Generate the moment you've got a bar.

Does it generate Construction Phase Plans (CPP)?

Yes — for jobs where you're the Principal Contractor under CDM 2015. The CPP builder pulls in your project info, contractors, RAMS and key risks. Branded PDF out, ready for the project file.

What about COSHH?

Library of 15,000+ substances with pre-populated assessments. Pick the product, get the hazards and controls, attach the SDS, sign it off. Stored against the project.

Can subcontractors sign themselves in without an account?

Yes. Each project has a sign-in QR code. Subbies scan it on their own phone, type their name, and they're on the site register. No app to install, no account to make. They don't count against your firm's user cap.

Can I export hours worked to Xero or my payroll?

Yes. Every site sign-in / sign-out is timestamped. Pull a weekly or monthly hours report for any worker or subbie — total hours by site, by day, by person. Export as CSV (Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent format) or PDF for a paper trail. No re-typing into the wages spreadsheet.

Do I get a weekly site report I can send to the PC?

Yes. End of every week the app rolls up sign-ins, hours, tick lists, open issues, RAMS issued, accidents and expiring certs into a branded PDF. Lands in your inbox Friday afternoon — forward to the Principal Contractor as your weekly H&S report.

How long are records kept?

Six years from generation, by default — covers HSE's standard limitation period for civil claims and matches what most insurers want. Need a specific record kept longer for a claim or insurer requirement? Email us and we'll lock it indefinitely. Everything is fully exportable any time.

What does "built for builders, not H&S managers" mean?

The home screen has seven tiles, not seventeen. The wording is plain English. The whole thing works from a phone — no desktop tool with a mobile bolt-on. No multi-division access controls, no ISO 45001 audit trail, no 40-category template library.

Pricing & billing

Is there a free trial?

Yes — 7 days, full access on any tier. 14-day money-back guarantee on top, so if you change your mind in the first fortnight after billing starts we refund everything, no questions.

Why flat pricing instead of per-seat?

Because per-seat punishes you for inducting subbies, and we want subbies to use the sign-in / induction flows. The tiers cap your firm's permanent users; subbies signing themselves in via the QR code don't count.

Annual vs monthly — what's the difference?

Monthly: cancel any time, no minimum term. Annual: pay for 10 months and get 12 — you save £38 (Solo), £58 (Team) or £78 (Site) per year. Both come with the 7-day trial and the 14-day money-back guarantee. Most people pick monthly to start, switch to annual once they know they'll keep using it.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — full money-back guarantee for 14 days from your first billing date, no questions asked. Just email us. After that, partial refunds at our discretion if something's gone wrong.

Data & security

Where's my data stored?

Securely, in the UK. Encrypted at rest and in transit. Every firm's data is isolated from every other firm on the platform — your records are only accessible to your team. Files (logos, certificates, SDS files) are stored separately per firm, behind the same isolation.

Can I export everything?

Yes. Full export of every PDF, every sign-in record, every accident report, any time, from the app. CSV for tabular data, ZIP of PDFs for documents.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

You keep export access for 90 days. After that, it's permanently deleted. We don't keep data on cancelled accounts beyond that.

Is it UK GDPR compliant?

Yes. Data stays in the UK, processing notice in the privacy policy, lawful basis is contract performance for customer data and legitimate interest for usage analytics. We're the data processor for your firm's data; your firm is the controller for your team's and subbies' data.

Switching from something else

I currently write RAMS in Word — how long does this take to learn?

Honestly, about 10 minutes. Pick a trade, generate a sample RAMS, look at the output, you've got it. The first proper site-specific RAMS you do will take 15 minutes; subsequent ones take 2-5.

I'm on HandsHQ / SiteDocs / SafetyCulture — should I switch?

Depends on your size. If you're a 1–10 person firm paying enterprise prices for features you don't actually use, probably yes. If you're a 50-person firm with a dedicated H&S manager who needs the depth, no — those tools are built for you, maybe we're not. Honest answer.

Can I migrate my old RAMS in?

Yes — upload PDFs into the document library so they're searchable and on file. The structured RAMS builder doesn't import from Word (different shape), but you can use any old RAMS as a reference whilst you build the new one in 5 minutes.
